The error: “You must restart your computer before installing McAfee products” while installing McAfee Products
By doing the below steps you can solve this issue
Open Regedit (Start -> Run -> regedit
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
If there is a value named "UninstRebootRequired" then delete it.
Check C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup for a file named "$McRebootA5E6DEAA56$". If it is there delete it.
It might be here "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" or here "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu"
No need to Reboot, reinstall the application.

Awesome, restarted several times no use, even used Mcafee Virtual Technician which reported problem fixed, but problem still persists. Deleted the file you mentioned and the setup program worked just fine. Had renewed my McAfee livesafe 2017 and this was the last netbook that couldnt install. My three home PCs and three mobiles were ok. Many thanks.
